In my opinion the best charity in dealing with disasters of this magnitude is Direct Relief International.  I urge you to visit their website and donate what you can to help the victims of the earthquake.  This aid group is well organized and is already helping:

Two shipping containers of medical material aid were scheduled to arrive today in Port-au-Prince today as part of Direct Relief’s ongoing humanitarian and emergency-preparedness work in the country. The 40-foot and 20-foot containers, containing over $420,000 of essential medicines, supplies, and nutritionals, were destined for St. Damien Children’s Hospital.  The hospital is one of three local facilities in Haiti with which Direct Relief has partnered in its Emergency Pre-Positioning Program.

... I feel so bad, Ive been watching CNN since last night. It will be far worse in 1 month than it is today. Only a few dozen pieces of construction equipment, that wont even fit the need of a small block let alone hundred of thousands crushed homes. Then a place to dump all that rubble and on top of that all the new pouring of concrete, They already have Zero wood resources, running water. Something else bad is going to come from this. I dont know what and I hope it really doesnt.
