Mark McGuire

Mark McGuire saw the light and finally admitted to taking PEDs:

"I wish I had never touched steroids.  It was foolish and it was a mistake. I truly apologize. Looking back, I wish I had never played during the steroid era."

The American public is very forgiving and usually gives people a second change if they ask for it honestly.  If we have learned anything through the steroid era it is that players that admit to using PEDs can be welcomed back into the game without taking a major hit.  McGuire's revalation may open up his chances to someday be in the Hall of Fame.  At the very least he will no longer be a PR distraction to the Cardinals who brought him on as a hitting coach for next season.

Mark- I got it done, Ive ask my son for permission and he said it was fine.

Cardinals Staff- Umm ok? (Thinks to them self's "what an idiot")

Mark- OK where do i sign?!?

Cardinals Staff- No mark, did your brain shrink with your balls?

Mark- What?

Cardinals Staff- Your supposed to inform the media about your roid usage! You know make a statement how you regret it and all.

Cardinals Staff- Here I wrote your statement for you, just read this. I will setup a press conference for Monday the 11th.

Mark- Wait what! I cant do this! It's very emotional! I cant come clean and be honest now! Nobody thinks I did it!

Cardinals Staff- Mark, Monday the 11th.

You have to wonder why he waited so long. I think the Cards did force him to reveal it as part of his getting hired.
