Trying to Reason With the Offseason
Written by Matt O'Donnell

Today's loss is slowly starting to sink in with the realization that there will be no posting of a Red Sox lineup for Game 4.  There will be no discussion of how well Lester will pitch on short rest, there will be no talk of how to stop the Angels running game.  There are however, several things that will be discussed in the coming days including:

Right now there is only a feeling of disappointment that the Red Sox let the series and game slip away.  There is plenty of blame to go around and they did lose to a good Angels team, but that does not take away from the shock that most fans are experiencing right now.  The Red Sox not only lost to the Angels, they were swept.  Perhaps we have grown too spoiled with past sucesses and a loss like this might thin the herd of bandwagoners.  In reality it is a hard pill to swallow and now we have the long wait until next year. We also have to hope the Yankees don't win it all.

Fans didn't boo Paps
I don't think the fans did boo Paps and actually agree with Theo that they were booing about the situation. The boos were meant for the Angels rallying, tying, going ahead, and winning the game and series. That's my educated guess and feeling anyways.

Pedey blames the Fenway field and more...
Thats just Pedeys fustration, he will get over it.

Over all for the redsox, The batting AVG was low this year by .010 from .280 to .270. They game up 20 more HRs and the WHIP went from 1.325 to 1.409, ERA from 4.01 to 4.35. They were worse.

I blame the management for shuffling the redsox as if it spring training up to October. They need to layoff worring about pitching because Beckett, Lester, Clay, Dice-K and Byrd/Wakefield are just fine. MDM, Paps and ramram needs to learn how to throw something besides a little league fastball and they need to bring back Pedro dress him like a clown and just have him around the dugout to remind the players what baseball is all about, Fun.

Lets go Red Sox in 2010!
